You never know how some of these team selections will go and whether this particular combination will make the top 4...
It looks to me a bit too much like the team that struggled against quality opposition in 2008....
albeit with a couple of new recruits......

Due to Baker and Maguires injuries and lack of games this year i dont think they will be up to it next year and Gilbert is lacking AFL skillskos wrote:B: baker , hudgton , gilbert

Gilbert has the skills, albeit on the one side, but that's not the issue IMO...adobe wrote:Due to Baker and Maguires injuries and lack of games this year i dont think they will be up to it next year and Gilbert is lacking AFL skillskos wrote:B: baker , hudgton , gilbert

He needs to get tougher at the contest and show more aggression
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!

I also read that X has been given another 12 months. I know he's had a rough year with a few key issues both on-field and off-field but we mustn't forget his speed and agility.
There is certainly room for him on that list. I hope things turn around for him in 09.
That list does look quite tasty

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Me three, that would be very nice, it would also be great if some of our past recruits could develop into 22 players such as Armo and Allen and maybe some show some reall god signs in McEvoy and Steven...True Blue Sainter wrote:Me too. Every club seems to get them in recent years except us...Animal Enclosure wrote:I hope that for once we have a draftee have an instant impact & be a top 22 player straight away.

I reckon you could probably put a fork in Baker and possibly Goose - unfortunately.
Hope I am wrong.

Lance or James??

I felt gutted when Hamill fell to injury. I'll feel just as gutted if we lose Baker as well! Two tuff-nuts who we could always have done with! I honestly hope we haven't seen the last of Bakes!
