Well there is a degree of irony in promoting a book called 'Strength Through Loyalty' after accepting a job at Carltank.

Still, best of luck to him, and hopefully he'll return home soon

What irony?? 21 seasons at one club! It doesn't get any more loyal than that!
Banger deserves to go and do whatever he likes.
It wouldn't surprise me if he knocked back the Saints job because he felt he was too close to the players; and it would effect his professionalism.

....and Shady; as far as your mate goes.. He's a wanker. :D

He's is the abbreviated form of he is.
(can be replaced in the Aussie vernacular by 'hizza' eg. Hizza wanker.

His indicates possession/ownership. eg. His book...... and it's also the sound a snake makes

Hang on a minute, I love the guy as much as anyone. Agreeing that his book titled "strength through loyalty" is kind of ironic given that it's launch happens to be the week he accepts a job at Carlton, has nothing to do with how much I respect him

But isn't it ironic, don't you think
A little too ironic, yeah I really do think

My order for three signed books has yet to arrive. Wonder will he use a black or a blue pen?

Ahh! So you mean;

"It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take"

It's ironic like that?

I did say a degree of irony, and that's more to do with the club he's going to than the fact he's chosen to accept a role elsewhere.

Can you explain to me how Harvey taking a job at Carlton is disloyal if he is going to expand his football education before returning to the club?

I think everyone is going to owe the great man a huge apology when he returns...

Carlton is not exactly the home of loyalty, it's the club that got done for under the table payments and whose own players dobbed them in. Now there's question marks on how they're able to afford their list, their Visy 'environmental ambassadorships' and whether certain players are loyal to the club or the dollars they're being paid.

When you think loyalty, do you think Carlton Football Club?

That is my point when I say there's a degree of irony, it's not a reflection on Sir Robert.

Harvs went to Carlton to get experience so as to provide better value to the Saints when he returns in a couple of years. Move to Carlton perfectly loyal
