Yes, He deserves a two-year contract since he kicked 60 goals

Why wouldn't they sign him up for two? Surely he's shown enough this year to think it wasn't his second last season?

a one year contract?

what more do they expect from a small forward? 60 goals a season is sensational for a crumber.. should have signed him up for 2.

Just glad to hear he's back on board.
But yes. a 2 year deal surely could have warranted for his effort this year

2 would have been good and virtually taken him to retirement- 28 now

BUT glad you've re-signed Milney

Perhaps he wants to be traded to the Gold Coast next year.

Be nice to retire up there.

...and would save him the indignity of finishing up his career at the Bulldogs!?!

Good news, although, as many above me have said, he deserved 2 years on his efforts, particularly in the 2nd half of the year. Well done, Milney, another 50+ goal season in 2009!

Well, they're looking for a tall forward.

i think it is only one year because for the last 7 years he has been trade bait, we have to keep that up for next year also

Typical low-key news for us. But keep it that way Sainters and save it for the big explosion next season.

some players its better to go on a year by year contract ... for milney if he has another year like this year he will get another year with a bit more $$ yet if he starts to go down hill the club have the option to sign him up again for less $$ at this stage in milne's carreer i doubt very much he would be going anywhere

You have to give Milne credit for his season, especially from the Freo game on, and I think the players and yes, us supporters had a new respect for him, playing the following week with two cheek injuries.

So many congrats Yapper for signing on.
