Milne/Schneider - the potential hero's tonight?

Post: # 648695Post SainterK »

Our concern going into the game has obviously been the Hawks tall timber, who will play on Buddy and Roughy etc. So the obvious focus for the Hawks defence is Roo and Kosi, they will also be targeting our tall forwards no question.

I have done a bit of thinking on who would be a good match up for Milne or Schneider for that matter, and I can't really think of a good one, let alone either of them attracting one of the gun hawks defenders?

I think they may have a big night!

Exactly!

Hopefully we can carry our accuracy over from last week as well.

Interesting read in the Herald Sun today with Garry Lyon going head to head (or more accurately, head to butthole) with Dermott on how the Saints can successfully get over the Hawks.

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

If it rains it will be down to Milne and Schneider to gather the crumbs off Rooey and kick the ball off the ground towards the forward line.

just read that.
and, we can get it over them.
If maxy can keep buddy undercontrol.

and as for if we do win tonight.
i have beleif we can beat the cats.
if they play like they did last night, we can.
Doggies could have won, if they hadn't missed so many easy shots at goal.
so if we can keep them from as little goals as possible.
and actually get the goals, i'd say we have a chance.
because they played pretty audinary.

22 heroes tonight. Thats what it will take.

Sure, its one thing to say Maxy on Buddy.

Gonna take our whole midfield/backs to limit or impede his delivery.

THis game is most definately winnable for us. Just need the effort across the field.

"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....

It really is a case of Stop Buddy, Stop Hawthorn... whether that be stop him kicking goals or stop hiim getting suply BUT the main thing is our forwards NEED to fire.

We know our mids can be accountable, we know our defence is good, it is our forwardline that bneeds to fire tonight. Go for everything, accurate kicking and play the team role when it suits us.

If Milne and Schneider can kick a few each, we may sneak under the hawks radar. Its comforting to know that Lyon ahsn't been blinded by Buddy and is focusing more on stopping the ball getting to him. BUT - the thing is if and when we stop the ball getting to their forward line, OUR forwards need to fire.... That I am sure they will.
