McLaren is a disgraceful umpire.

Absolutely and positively no concept of the game.

More worried about Buddy, Hodge, Mitchell etc. We may get a better run with the umps they may we cannot control that but we can stop the Hawks players.

Its just not a good start. Lets hope they preform.....because every second of a finals game is critical.

If true, it's good news. All three will know that they stuffed up badly:
Kennedy with Kosi, Rosebury with Goddard and McLaren with Nick. They will know in their heart of hearts that they each owe us a cheap free directly in front ten out, make that two out, no sense taking any chances. Hopefully none of them gets injured looking at the reserve umpire.

Can't ask for more than some experienced umpires in the grand final.

Hopefully McLaren will be in our camp after being involved in one of our post-goal celebrations last weekend. :D

I always feel that Scott McLaren still blames us for the whole hoo-ha created by James Hird on the "Footy Show" about the McLaren in an Essendon v St Kilda game.
So long ago and yet someone needs to remind him, it was Hird who said it and got in to a whole heap of poo-it had nothing to do with St Kilda so get off our backs!

The umpiring experts have deemed that these 3 are among the 6 BEST umpires in the land. Let's hope that we don't notice any of them on Saturday Night !!

I actually reckon Kennedy has been worse in the last 2 games we played.
He was the umpire in our forward line for the first quarter of both games who seemed to refuse point blank to give us a free kick.

Against Geelong, the Milne 'burial' very early on.
Last week the one where Roo was pushed in the back so far that he ended up at centre half back sprawled on his stomach.

Both decisions were early in the game and if paid could/might have set the scene for us?

Both times 'witchitty grub #7 was standing in perfect position to see the infringement and chose to close his eyes. The fans in M31 made sure he heard what we thought of his non-decisions.

He paid us virtually nothing and when I recall the speed and intent he used to report Kosi last week I just wonder what on earth goes through his head before making a decision?
