Opportunity

Post: # 646868Post 3rd generation saint »

I heard a sound bite from Roo the other day and I liked what he said.

He said it wasn't about revenge or pride but opportunity and that this weeks match is a huge opportunity.

And that is exactly what it is, a chance for this club to grab opportunity and not let it pass us by again.

As previously stated for the majority of this group of players this is their third prelim, their third chance to make a Grand Final.

Therefore most of them know the disappointment of losing.

Frankly this is also our best chance I believe.

In 04 we played interstate which gave Port a big advantage and probably helped secure them the win.

In 05 we had a depleted line up with Hamil, Fisher, Peckett, Kosi all out of the side.

This year all our big guns are here, assuming Luke Ball makes it. We're playing at the G against a team we match up well against.

That premiership window can be forced wide open.

I've registered for my GF tickets today and I really hope that I will be collecting them next week.

I forgot Kosi was missing in 2005.

Imagine he irony and bad luck had he missed this weeks preliminary also.

He is massive for us this week against the Hawks. I'm expecting (hoping)
he rips the Hawks a new one and the headline on Sunday will be:

Where have you been Kosi

It's all about opportunity... We have a huge chance to get through to the GF, and play off in the big dance....

This is our opportunity.

Do it for Harves.

Do it for the supporters.

Do it for YOURSELVES!

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.
