Absolute star!! 20 touches, 15 marks and 5 goals straight... Write him off at your own peril..

Was good to see him kick it so well tonight. Dont think I have ever seen him kick 3 in a row from 50 straight through the middle (the first 3)

Why do people never have much to say when Roo plays awesome, but if he has a bad one the thread on it goes for two pages?

Where are you rogerwa?

And where is your "roo = champion's effort" thread?

Huh?

Knew he'd have a big game.

No doubt in my mind. The pride and quality of the bloke was never going to let him get beaten tonight.

Roger's currently at a party dressed as Nick Riewoldt as a female. He's got a sense of humour has Rog. He reckons he'll post some photos tomorrow morning.

Roo has the odd bad game but rarely plays two bad games in a row.

Another brilliant captain's game tonight. Outstanding.

Roo stood up and responded superbly after an ordinary game last week. Kicking for goal was awesome as well.

One good thing (perhaps the only one) about watching a game on the box is that you get to see lots of close ups of the players

From the moment Riewoldt ran out of the change room until the moment he ran off after the final siren he had the look in his eyes of a man who wouldn't be beaten (so did a few others, I thought: Dal, Milne, Fisher, Max and BJ)

His second best game eve IMO: after his incredibly heroic effort against the Dees in that horrible 2006 EF

Never had a doubt in my mind that the skipper would bounce back. He has too much pride in himself for that. And he didn't let us down. He was brilliant last night and my respect for him this year has grown immensely, he is just amazing the way he goes about his footy.
Great work Nick, you continue to show the world why you are our captain, it was a true captains game, like so many more you've played this season.
Another best and fairest is on its way.

That's the reason you play him as a forward and not as a midfielder as

some like to suggest.

Where would we be without this guy?

We can't let him head north.
