Dempster injury

Post: # 631469Post Otiman »

Reported to be left Knee or Ankle.

Leaves a large hole if he's not available.

Iced up with the trackie top on. No further updates but it looks like he won't play the rest of this match at least.

the incident looked really innocuous too. I guess with knees they often do...

I think he's a Physio.

the fact they haven't said what they think means it is pretty serious unfortunately, will miss pre season and will miss first 8 games i would imagine

I don't think it looked that bad. Eagerly waiting some news though, he's a key player for us. Very hard to find a like replacement.

With a knee it's very difficult to say if he's just sitting there iced.

The softest of knocks sometimes turn into 12 months off.

Let's just hope for the best, he's a player who has risen in my books throughout the year.

ABC Radio (Kelly Underwood) said pretty much the same thing - would not be playing in the finals.

It looked like he banged his knee into the turf, so it could be a posterior cruciate. Hopefully it's a relatively minor and not a torn ligament of some kind.

If the Sean Dempster's knee is serious and he is out, I feel gutted for him and our chances for the flag.
I have always been a believer in Lyons' decision to get him & what he brought to our backline.
His run and busting out of tackles has released Gram & Goddard to be more attacking and not just stopping defenders.
I am not sure he can be covered very easily by anyone in the seconds.
I am hoping for a miracle recovery by the second game of the finals.

ACL??? That's awful news, both for him and the club. Dempster's been a warrior for this club the last few months. I was definitely a doubter when we picked him up, but not now. I'd back him 100%.

That's terrible news for someone who had really established himself as an important player in our team. Timing couldn't be worse for him and I think this weekend is when we may miss him most as he may have been the man to take Steve Johnson who I think poses a massive threat to us.

Id like to see X Clarke run with Steve Johnston and just sit on him. Nice way to get taken to the ball when youve been out for a while also.
