I think they just don't want to omit him, and then it turns out he's fit to play.

I think it's almost a certainty he will miss this week.

Get a head, birrs has as much talent as every else in the team has in their fingers, not up for afl standard.

I reckon X will play no matter what.

If Stevie comes up - Eddy out

If not - Milne out, X in

What chance Allen replacing Gardiner?

I would think only one change

As bad as Gardiner is/was...i'd rather see another runner.

Don't think Allen is up to AFL tbh.

Check out the Scorps side for Saturday. Sort of tells you what the final team is going to be.
Interesting to note that the Clarke brothers and James Gwilt are not named, although named on 7 man bench with Eddy, C.Gardiner, Birss and Allen, all named in this side. If that is correct, one extra to come onto Saints bench out of those four.

Yeah 8-) Milney is experienced at playing with a broken face. He's been doing it since 1/2 way through the West Coast game !!

Milne will be out for X. The question is do they pick another runner for Gardiner. My guess is no.

This has got to be the worst post i've seen in a while. At least spell his name right & have a little bit more respect for a "saints player" that has worked his but off to get into the side & when he has been in the side he has been more than handy. Sometimes I really wonder about our so called supporters . I have no objection with people expressing their opinion , but this is ordinary to say the least

Id drop Eddy for Birss and Milne for X.

Gardiner - even though ordinary round goals - gets to more contests than Allen at this stage....we need to keep a fwd structure of sorts..

Agree with you there. Birss has been good enough at Casey to warrent a go. and X man is obviously fit enough after having a while at the Scorps too.

Not that Chuck is usless, he just isnt in our best 22. X deffinatly is.

Agree with that Teflon, Gardiner could still be handy to keep Bassett away from being third man up against either Roo or Kosi as long as he keeps ieading up and moving to dangerous spots.

Have just been looking at some stats from the last time we played the Crows:

- Four Saints had at least 30 touches while no Crows could manage to break 30
- Robert Harvey had a game high 33 touches
- Nick Riewoldt took 18 marks
- Sam Fisher took 15 marks and had 30 touches
- Milney had 3 kicks for 2 goals (only player on the ground with a 66.6% kick to goal percentage)

I agree....but it's a shame that Birss will no doubt get shafted again.

Also good to see Fiora is not on the extended interchange bench.

Even if Milne was fit, 4 days in a car with no training all week is not ideal in the lead up to a crunch game.

Leave him for the Bombers so he can rest up and recharge the batteries.
