The probable outcome at Subi this week

Post: # 621892Post thejiggingsaint »

Gday Folks! :D

Given the poor level of performance against the Magpies on Saturday last, coupled to the (apparent) turmoil within the playing group regarding "trades, form etc", a good result for us is improbable.
Compounding all this is our poor record travelling to the West, along with Fremantles habit of beating us over there. Weighing-up this the probability is that we are going to lose badly at Subiaco

That's the "probablity" My feelings are that the whole object of being in a competition is to go into each contest with the attitude of DEFYING probability! :x

NOT DEAD YET SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See youse at the social club!!!!!

Dave

i'm not confident. we've had our chances but last week and the eagles debacle give a true indication of where we are at.

We could also start up a competition to guess how many "absolute shocker home town decisions" the umpires hit us with. I guess 10 costing us 5 goals.

Have I missed something?

Gday "SEN" "the (apparent) turmoil within the playing group" remark should have had a " " or maybe a " " with it!!!!
It was a tongue in cheek comment from me. I suppose I'm trying to say that if we were to believe all the pundits and experts in the media, we're a club in serious trouble, and should be prepared for disaster!
(funny thing..they were predicting that for Collingwood this time last week!!!)

Well Dave, I'm never hopeful when we travel west.

Hoping the result at Goodison provides a distraction!

If it's meant to be, it's up to me.

or in our case...

If want to make the 8, we'd better play great!

We'll win.

We played attrociously against Collingwood and lost by 14 points.

A slightly better effort against a worse team will result in a victory and this is what will happen.

But they gave a reasonably full strength Swans side grief IN SYDNEY last week.....I'm doubtful about this one. We certainly have a side out there who should be able to pants Freo, but who knows what work ethics our boys will bring to the game this week???? Who truly bloody knows? All I know is Harvs will put in, Hayes and Roo...maybe Goddard and Gram, Fisher and Maxie

Yep, that's what we thought about the Eagles game.

Freeo have been quite competitive lately, and frankly... I'm not that confident. If Pav has a day out, we're stuffed.

Will be interesting to see what happens now that we have no choice but to win.

It's do or die this week.

I just hope we pull it together.

Freo would have spanked Collingwood last week, I'm sure of it.

Freo are playing for draft picks and are tanking.

Stkilda are playing for the greatest man ever Harvey and a miraculous finals birth.

Therefore Freo should win comfortably by about 8 goals.

If Lyon wants to win, this is what he should say to the players....

This week there will be no game plan. I want all of you to just go out there and play your best footy. No flooding, no kicking backwards, just go out there and play attacking footyand win the game for Harves.

If Lyon does that, we will win!!!!

Ros have you been to training ?? im sorry but you train like you play and im sorry theres no kicking backwards plays at training . the game plan is there but on game day its not done by the players ... so your anti RL game plan idea has not weight behind it i suggest you learn a bit more about the team befor you post crap about a game plan you know nothing about

Well, it's going to be sunny, still and about 22 degrees...perfect conditions for footy.

BUT, if we play like we did against the Eagles, we'll lose. We have to learn how to play Subi. It's not the Dome. It's big. You have to run, and run and then do some more running. You have to play on. Take risks. Use the corridor. Back your team mates. This "chippy, chippy" stuff that Ross wants won't work over here. Ever.

The game will be won in the middle. Get first hands to it. Play hard, uncompromising footy. Freo won't give this game away.

It's time to stand up Saints.

Did anyone see the womens 4 x 200m freestyle relay final today? If we go with the same attitude as those Aussie girls we will thrash them.

Anohter key Saints player to do a soft tissue injury. It has happened without fail at Subiaco for the past 7 years.
