Nicky Winmar...one of my favourite Saints....lucky you.
And just like Banger...quiet and humbe, who let his actions on the field speak for him.
Very fitting for you to be able to watch the game with him in this week when Banger has announced his retirement.

""Just noticed your sign in name, I also was/am a massive David Grant fan, r u from Launceston?""
Hi St Bev, nope, a kiwi who had the privilege of living in Melb and attending home games for st kilda from 1980 through to 92. Im back in Melb now and still watching Harvs...amazing.
David Grant was such a wonderful and consistent player whom I admire greatly. Doesn't get the accolades he deserved. Was a clean and skilful player whom other teams and fans admired and respected....(sound familiar?)
One of the worst days for me was in a final against Geelong at waverly when he got taken out by a geelong player after absolutely killing them in defence. Can't remember who it was that took him out now, but I wasn't happy!...it wasnt an accident .. and we lost the game.

Great job Roger for organising all of this-can't wait, especially after my last 2 weeks in WA visiting my daughter. 1st week had to endure the horror at Subiaco & then had to stay awake & sober enough to watch the game at 11.30 pm when I was in Broome. See all you fellow sainter fans today at the venue.
