A Saints supporter who owns a book shop.

Fare chance it is curtains anyway. But I would guess it would take a while to write the book. He did it himself unlike other sports people who get other people to do it. Is there anything he can't do

Thanks for the heads up Bev :)

As for it being curtains this doesn't quite seal the deal for me yet...
Didn't he have his testimonial last year, isn't that something they normally do towards the end of a players career?

Testimonials dont have to occur in your last season at all.

How many players have written autobiographies and then still played on?????....

It's a marketing thing. If he releases it now and plays on, he can write a new one later explaining his 2009 Brownlow Medal win and the thrill of back to back premierships in 2009 and 2010 (maybe 3 in a row if things go well this year)

Plugger wrote one when he was still a Saint, wrote it with Ken Piesse in 1992

Followed Saints since '71
Sir Robert Harvey was my favorite player
Stewie Lowe and Plugger before that.
Loved watching Rooey and Jack Steven
Now looking forward to the future

Some people make things happen, some people watch things happen, but most just say " What the f#&k happened!".

Marvellous news! Thanks for giving us the advance notice Bev.

And in case I didn't say so (I don't remember) ... the SEQ Saints did a MARVELLOUS job against North. You should be proud! Really helped turn the season around, that game.

Going out with a book AND a premiership!

I wonder who's writing his autobiography?

Thanks for the heads up Bev !
That really is good news. I definatly will buy that book.

Unfortunately I think this news reinforces what he told me a few weeks back. He won't play on.
If only he could have the fairy tale finish with a flag.

Not ghost written at all?

Reminds me of Victoria Beckham writting a autobiograph then saying in a interview about it that she has NEVER read a book.

Doesn't mean it isn't ghost written, ie victoria beckham above and her autobiograph.

My understanding is that it's being written by Saints historian Russell Holmesby. It will be a ripping book nonetheless!!
