Well for me it's copping constant crap from all my mates.

But I love it, I love the Saints and everything that comes with been a supporter.

So much heartbreak.....but I couldn't see myself supporting anyone else.

Our loyalty is one thing that can never be doubted.

It's a credit to us all.

Being a Saint means dealing with the ever constant "how many premierships have saints one?" remark that you can never really offer a smart, successful come back to.
Being a Saint means being able to apreciate the little things like a super mark or supurb run down as many of us are yet to experience the glory of a flag. I rekon other clubs take these little highlights for granted but for me it's what makes going to the footy so special.
Being a Saint means i've had the privlidge of watching Robert Harvey my whole life time and that to me is next best thing to a flag. An out and out legend is our banger.
Being a Saint offers a mixture of highs and lows but i wouldn't have it any other way. go saints.

Freeo: even more painful than following the saints. Take the term "rabble" to new heights.

WCE: too many reasons to mention here

Cats: well they beat us to a flag

Lions: respect, but just can't bring myself to swapping for them.

Swans: Too many saints rejects playing for them

I liked the interview with BJ - the whole thing he kind of joked around and had a bit of a laugh, but for the final question, the same question asked in this thread, he was just so dead set serious. That's passion right there.

Being a saint fan means:

Sacrfices for your team (even if that includes your mental health)
Alcohol - cos you need it to celebrate a win, or to drown a loss
Intelligence - to be able to understand our coach, our board, our fans, and to be able to keep up with posters in saintsational!
Never ending supply of peroxide - well in the 80's any way
Trevor Barker - the only name that truly embellishs and totally sums up what being a Saint is - only person who's name can be held at the same height Robert Harvey!

Well at least I had a crack - lol another trait that is ingrained in saints supporters LOL

I can sympathize with all you die-hard saints fans out there . We've had our fair share of kicks in the guts & successes have been few & far between . The one thing we can all rely on is no matter how frustrated & how disapointed we get with the way the saints are travelling we still find the stregnth to do it all again next week. I've been traumatised , delusional & even suicidal after some of our efforts ,but the thought of one of our boys lifting that cup on the last day of September is enough to unite us all. Yes we are a rare breed hopefully good things come to those who wait.
