The brief report

Post: # 595858Post CeilidhSaint »

In the first quarter we were an embarassment to the jumper.
After that - different story.
Riewoldt - last two weeks true captain.
Best players were many but the bottom six contributed and that is the difference.
Blake - please don't bag him, played a lot of games for OUR club and gives his all.
McQ - liked it.
Gwilt - starting to actually cement his place.
Kosi - kicked some clutch goals, put himself about.
Milne - best return intertstate?
Jones - old fashioned footballer, watch last qtr and see him just keep on moving the ball forward and hits targets despite his awkward style.
Gehrig - great to see him on the sidelines.
Baker, Hayes, X, Gardiner, Schneider, Ferg all knocking on the door soon.
The time to play horizontal (sideways, stop and prop) football is over, vertical only from now on!

Gram - quiet. A few of his "runs" but a touch disappointing.
Gilbert - still sometimes has weak efforts but after qtr time kept their small forwards reasonably quiet. Plays game like rugby, no shepherds.
Armo - not much game time (59%). Kicked a nice goal from the pocket when looked like he didn't want the set shot. Typical Armo, some nice tackles, pretty hard at it but not really game breaking.
