We have beaten one team above us and lost to one below us.

I don't know what this really says, other than we are average.

There are 9 rounds left..we have 6 wins

lets say 12 wins make sure of a finals spot

we play 5 sides below us and 4 sides above us (inc Kangaroos)

SO..if we drop Saturdays game it means we HAVE to beat least one of Collingwood, Adelaide or Hawthorn to make it. Beating only one of them would mean we have to beat BOTH West Coast and Fremantle in Perth

That is certainly doable given the form of both teams.

The big question: How will our gameplan hold up on a ground like Subiaco?

I wouldnt even be worried bout finals to be honest.

Weve got kids that need AFL games first let alone finals. Develop some players to go around the core of Hayes, Ball, Riewoldt, Dal, and Co. Rookie the kid Silvagni if we truly believe he can hold down a Hudgton role in future years cause we desperately need another tallish defender and get on with putting a more skillful, faster and even side on the park that stops relying on the brilliance of a 37yr old.

Its a tough run home kids.

No tougher than the Roos or Carlton's draw.

I reckon the Pies could be in trouble too looking at their draw if North & us start winning more than we lose. Their game against us could be the difference.

A position in the 8 is wide open and we should be good enough to win into it.
