So how did this group make 3 finals in a row, even with all those injuries?
Either GT was a better coach than many like to admit or the players simply won't play for Lyons because he is a poor motivator and coach?
Really what did the former board expect -you sack a successful coach who has the respect of the playing group and replace him with an untried passionless accountant!

Lyon does seem to be getting worse and worse. Last week Ferguson plays the only decent game of his career as a forward (and struggles in his brief stint in defence), so Lyon plays him in defence all day. Schneider kicks a career-high bag of goals as a crumber, and it's back to wing/half back for Schneids.
The general skill level has dropped horribly, there is absolutely no function while going into the forward line and it amazes me that we can have 18 players in defence yet we still manage to let opposition players run around uncontested inside their 50.
And no team can go into a game with Dempster, Blake, Gwilt, Ferguson and Leigh Fisher expecting to win. You can't have that many slow, unreliable flankers in any half decent team.

Squarely putting the blame on the coach for simple skill errors that under 14's wouldn't make is a huge copout. We lost today, because most of the players couldn't kick for shite, not because we were outcoached.

Well said DSG....If you lot are so passionate about ousting the coach, why dont you voice your concerns to the CLub in person/directly, rather than hiding behind a bloody social networking site FFSDal_Santos_Gal wrote:gees these stupid groups on facebook as just that.. STUPID

Totally agree with your first two paragraphs.3rd generation saint wrote:Too many players don't give a rats ass whether we win or not.
There is no enthusiasm, no heart, no desire the team is devoid of any positive emotion.
Pretty much sums up the lifeless dummy of a coach, if I was a player he wouldn't be inspiring me neither.
Add to that our woeful field and goal kicking.
Not sure about Ross.
I would have presumed he would have given them a caning at half time after that insipid 2nd quarter.
The third quarter was even worse.
We let them amble forward and no-one could be bothered giving a chase.
I would have though Ross would have torn strips off them at 3/4 time
But all he did was look at his stats and his white board.
He should have berated them for a season ending quarter that offered nothing.

If this is true, where does this leave the players that dont care?3rd generation saint wrote:Too many players don't give a rats ass whether we win or not.

Nope, because as much as I am not happy with the direction it appears the club is going. I don't believe outing the coach after only 33 games is the answer. The writing was starting to go up on the wall before Rossy took over, you only need to look at the second half of the season of 2006.
As much as I hate the term, our "window" has well and truly closed.
We the supporters and the club most importantly need to look forward get rid of half a dozen players at least. Bring in some new YOUNG blood.
Set up and get some games into some young kids who can fill the gaps when players like Max retire.
If max goes at season’s end we are even more screwed because we have NO one even 10% as good as max.
So hey lets all join some stupid group and not think about how it will affect the club in the futire. Let's only think about how it will effect the club right now...
Sacking coaches and having no stability will only disgruntle the players and make the current situation worse.
Luckly that some group on facebook will not effect the club in making the wrong decision, especially when its mid season.

Sorry, no matter how you cut it, RL is low iq and a completer dud who has had his chance to re work the list and should hang his head in shame cause he has failed horribly. He is a dud, and should be sacked and a new coach with half a clue given a chance to take this list to the next step. He has FAILED!!!

A real protest is done in person as well as the virtual world.
If you feel this strongly, why not go and protest the way association football fans do?
