Who's going to the Hall of Fame night?

Post: # 580337Post markinUSA »

Hi

I know this is on Thursday... and this is a bit late to be asking...

BUT

If someone is going and they don't mind...
I would love some autographs. They don't have to be fancy - a signature on a napkin would be fine! Just being so far away it would be really really nice to get something like this.

If you didn't mind, you could send it to my Mum in Queensland and she would forward it to me in the US.

Just to give you a hint of how much these would mean to me: when I left Ausralia, I basically had to decide my 'top 10' things that were irreplaceable, and had to travel overseas with me. I left things like my electric piano, photo albums, books, music collection, etc. (not to mention the family!) ... and took an autograph of Darrel Baldock with me (signed on a normal piece of paper).

One of my friends said I was a "St. Kilda tragic"... it's a badge I like to wear with honour!

Not going. As usual the average punter can't afford to buy a membership and go to club events. The cost is just way too high to do both. We prefer to watch a game of footy so i put my money into memberships for my family.

I was also wondering if some of the night's festivities would be put on the club's AFL website, in the videos section, or on Saints Central?

That might be a way for some people to see a few champs who are recognized on th night.

If not videos, I do hope someone takes some photos!

very good point.

These "events" are basically high-end supporter fundraising events.

I could afford to go but refuse to go as the real supporters wont be there due to cost.

Mark - I wont be going - but we often meet up with Harves. Would you like something autographed by him? I think I have a spare 350+1 head somewhere - if not I can do something up for you!

right so the people who are well off and spend money on both a membership and these events are less supporters cause they have money
fair go sure lots of loyal supporter will not be able to go due to the cost but dont discount those who do go as not being real supporters
