Happy Memories v Eagles

Post: # 576422Post Newman »

Last night watched the 2004 Telstra win against Eagles (9th in a row). In the dying secs Gehrig put us over 100 pts in front. How is it possible that just 4 years ago we would beat a side by over 100 points and yet the Eagles 2 years later would win the premiership. That day they had Judd and Cousins in the side. Mind you - we had Hamill, Aussie Jones, Powell, Penny all running around and Guerra kicking 7 goals. WHEN are we going to see us have another decent win. How many wins have we sweated over in the last few years? I can't even remember the last time we thumped a team - unless I go back 3 years.

Funny...didn't we beat the Eagles last year, at the house of pain, under Ross?

Thats why we miss these handy champs.

Nick....without a sign of bandages on him. His injuries are paying off.

Aussie, Heath Black, Hammil, Penny, Guerra and Powell. R.I.P

Not to mention Thompson and Peckett, who both seemed still slick and agile back then.

Wasn't Guerra's 7th the one in the goal square where he kicked it through Andrew McDougall's hands ??? ...... his face was classic  gobsmacked to say the least.

Also on the membership DVD from this year.
