Re: Justin Koschitzke

he kicked four on sunday despite limited opportunities and lousy delivery from a team that was smashed in just about every other position.
a full forward who kicks four under those conditions has done his job imo.
keep roo at chf.
i was a proponent of moving him to the wing (where i still think he could win matches) but that was partly an effort to fit fraser, kosi and riewoldt into the same team.
we no longer have that problem.
as i've said elsewhere i'd try a four man forward set-up. dal santo and riewoldt at half forward and milne and kosi deep.
give them some space and instruct everyone to pump it in there quickly and often.
see if these four very good players can't kick us a winning score

i'd be willing to bet everything I had that bar injuries kosi will finish in the top 22.... and I'd be willing to bet that if he is given the full forward role for the rest of the year he would be in top 15 for sure and most likely top 10.Bernard Shakey wrote:Let me rephrase that.
Does anyone think he will finish top 10?
Or top 15?
Not according to the voting each week on this site.
Trade him while he still has value. Next year he will be worth nothing.
the longer he is given a set position the more he will show
Geez theres some w@nkers floating around this forum...
Trade Kosi.. So he can do to us what plugger, hall etc have done to us throughout our history... Why oh why do we look to always ofload our key players...
Cos w@nker supporters watch the game through the bottom of a beer glass and come to conclusions from supercoach rankings and b&f results..
watch Kosi's game closely, his attack on the ball, his body work, and most importantly, how much he bleeds for our club.. You do not trade your core foundations ffs...
Aside from this.. trade him for what exactly... 9 out of 10 trades arnt worth the piece of paper their written on... Get a grip...
He has been fine this year... settling in a difficult position like FF takes a season at least.. He and Harvs are pretty much my primary reasons of going to the footy atm.. special mention to lenny, ball, dal, roo and chips..

Exactly...you don't seriously think we're gonna get a better FF by trading Kosi, do you? "Hey Ratt's, Kosi's been a bit underdone during his career, fancy trading him for Fev?". I don't think so. Given that, who do we have on board as a replacement. In short, there's a couple possibilites, but no-one that's proven themselves fit for the job as Kosi.
The best we'd do is a couple other Charlie Gardiner types (not that I'm suggesting he's a dud, like many others are), or a highish mid draft pick. Not worth the risk unless you're gonna recycle someone, and that again, poses it's own risk. Keep Kosi!

Sorry!
We are obviously talking about a different player known as Kosi.
I'm talking about Justin Koschitzke, drafted No.2 in 2000, won AFL Rising Star Award in 2001 and has done nothing since (except for 4 games in 2005).
A Rising Star that has become a Black Hole.

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

Yeah, we're talking about the same Kosi...the one, who despite not being able to string more than about 3 games together for the best part of 3-4 years due to injury, still pops up every now and then and kicks a bag of goals, unlike the dozens of other mystery FF's we have waiting in the wings.Bernard Shakey wrote:Sorry!

The point is, we don't have a lot of other forward options like him, and trading him won't get us one either.
