Go with the same 22 this week

Post: # 575566Post plumtire »

If Lyon is fair dinkum about "turning things around" then I suggest he retains the 22 from the Brisbane game. Give them the chance to redeem themselves and take a step up. If another "soft" performance is the outcome of his selections then take the knife to the side and use the remaining rounds to blood some youngsters and who knows? we may JUST surprise one or two people, come September. In any case its about time that we accepted that recycled players are NOT the way to go (unless its a Hamill or Gehrig!)
I dont think we should panic..BUt we can't afford to do NOTHING!!!

You say we can't afford to do nothing... But isn't maintaining the same 22 from last week who with the known exceptions (Harves, Lenny, Ball & even CJ & Birss in terms of effort) doing nothing?

He said the players were soft. So was his team selection.

If he's as good as his word he'll drop the passengers. i.e. Fiora, Gram and bring in those who have put in at VFL level i.e. Ferguson, Gwilt.

I suspect that he'll drop Fiora and bring in Raph Clarke.

Hird... The unflushable one is now... just a turd...

The scary thing is that's probably true. Fiora and Raph don't deserve games. Gram - well we know what he can do, but he isn't doing it at the moment, he needs to be running the lines and kicking longs, when he kicks short and tries to be overly cute or precise, he more often than not turns it over...

Echo your sentiments re Ferg especially. Give the kid a chance as a mobile third-tall option up forward.

If Fiona is not dropped for good my membership is getting put in the bin.
Ditto if Armitage is not put back in that team.
