also the 2004 round 6 clash against the lions. the game was pretty good but the crowds roar when schwarze kicked that 60m bomb to win!

that would be the 2nd best game.

R15 M.C.G. 16-Jul-1995
Saints 2.6 9.10 12.13 13.15 93
Geelong 3.3 6.3 10.4 13.7 85

Crowd 37382

Great game of attacking football. I think Ablett kicked 6 and took a speccy on Siera. Nicky took the saving mark in defence. Harves kicked a vital goal in the last.

If anyone has the game on video I'd love to see it again...

5 prelims in 7 years. 40 wins from 49 games.
2009 and 2010 were 2 of the 5 best years ever by the St.Kilda FC.
Thanks for all your efforts Saints.

They had enjoyed a history breaking winning streak at the SCG. Beating us was a formality and at 3/4 time it was on the cards.

Last Q, our boys smashed them. Aussie Jones stabbing a goal right on the line was memorable. Close eyes.... yep, I can still see it now... :)

Afterwards they played the Sydney song... :) ooops, then Oh When came on. All in all a marvellous afternoon.

That game was in '97 and was part of our streak.

Yep, remember aussie's goal. Bandadged head, just chasing the ball the whole way to the line and fell over he was so tired and the sydney s**theads (on the ground and off it) were screaming at the goal umpire about it not being a goal and all i could say was "if you cant see on straight in front, get out of the ground".

Agree mate.... great day :D

One of the great goals of the decade! Pointed to the Southern stand after kicking the goal from deep in the pocket

That would be 98 when we won by 101 points. Which is my favourite game I have been to. Living interstate I don't get to alot of live games. That was a girls weekend away and what a night we had, still recovering
