Tackles
2 points.
The tackle on Reiwoldt was a disgrace, the ball had clearly gone and the sole intention of the tackle was to hurt him. Surprised no one remonstrated with him, then again I'm not surprised.
On tackling though since the NAB cup has dropped of we struggle to hold anyone 90 percent of our tackles just don't stick. In the pre season everyone was raving about our tackling, what happened?

Wake me up when September ends.

Re: Tackles
I reckon it will get looked at by the MRP. He definitely slung him to the ground. The AFL is trying to crack down on dangerous tackles and IMO that was a dangerous one. Don't know if he'd get weeks, but it won 't be the last we hear about it.AlpineStars wrote:The tackle on Reiwoldt was a disgrace...

Re: Tackles
I don't care if he gets cited or not - it's not like it affects us. But the tackle is going to get looked at again. The MRP may find no problem with it, but the AFL did send out a DVD of dangerous tackles to all the clubs and the McGuane tackle looks a hell of a lot like some of the tackles on the DVD.plugger66 wrote:Yep 2 weeks fancy tackiling a saints player.
Whether he gets cited or not, the tackle is going to get attention from talking heads because Riewoldt's going to miss weeks. The AFL and the media don't like it when gun players miss weeks because crap players 1) don't know where the ball is and 2) can't tackle properly.
Yeah nah pleasing positive
