Well bono was spot on.
The Emergencies are interesting.
McEvoy, Allen and Raph.
SO if anything happens to M.Gardiner before Sat night then Big Mac will make his AFL debut?
Looks like Dempster will play on Richo if he plays up the ground as he has the last couple of weeks, in the role Blake has traditionally played previously.

s***, Im really worried about fraser, and Im much more sympathetic to him know with the whole arthritis issue. But you know., as someone else said, he isnt in the best of form and once that ball hits the ground....
Would love to see him have a big game and get some confidence back. But more importantly than a bag of goals, I want to see him at least put some hard yards from a defensive point of view.

how did Blake get dropped instead of Goose. Didn't Blake play quite OK last week, whilst Goose has shown NOTHING this year so far...
How did a horribly out of form Gtrain get in? Does he think
we can monster Richmond like previous years??
FFS Lyon, what message does that send out to the team?
Reputation, reputation, reputation (sorry from 2 years ago FFS!)
FFS wake up Lyon!
NB. I look forward to Big Mac's debut with the (no doubt) late withdrawal of Gardy, that's a positive either way!

It's not a matter of what he has done......it's a matter what what he could potentially do. If he had been injured up until now he would have come back in straight away and nobody would have minded......I think it's crazy to leave Gehrig out of the team. He is not the reason we have played badly this year, we were just as bad if not worse when he was out....he is the X-FACTOR!!!Saintschampions08 wrote:
So, explain to me...what has Gehrig done so far this year, to actually deserve a recall?

No he isnt THE reason we are running on the smell of a oily rag . But he is a big part of the reason in recent times why we are one of the highest ranking teams in the ease of the ball coming out of our 50. This is more important for him to fix than kicking 5 or whatever. It would just be a band aid suedo fix, it is richmond after all, not to under rate them...
For me, Ill be watching fraser very closely for his tackling and chasing, I really dont care how many he kicks.

All of the attention on forward pressure is really getting to me. Fraser Gehrig is a full forward, he kicks goals and that is something we desperately need. All of this "the game is changing, blah blah blah" that we hear in the media (and vomit out ourselves) is just talk, there is no reason we can't "change the game back with a style of football we all know can win games.iwantmeseats wrote:But more importantly than a bag of goals, I want to see him at least put some hard yards from a defensive point of view.
Well 7 goals in 3 games is usually a good effort, plus he has booted two bags of 5 the last couple of times we played Richmond. Like they said, they always panned to drop Fraze for a few games, and admitedly, the new game plan hasn't worked.Saintschampions08 wrote:So, explain to me...what has Gehrig done so far this year, to actually deserve a recall?ralphysaints35 wrote:actually like the ins & outs,

Good feeling the big fella will be firing on Sat night.

Blake is not a key position defender so why compare the two? Is there another key defender in the magoos who missed out? Gwilt or Ferguson?!?
G TRAIN is not 'Horribly' out of form. Its the delivery which is pretty bad. Yes, he didn't kick a bag in the VFL but he set numerous goals up and did the 1%ers. He's a 2 time Coleman medalist FFS. If our coaching staff can get him 1 on 1 in the goalsquare, he will kick 5 goals easy.
As i've said in other posts, you can't have Blake, Baker, L Fisher and Dempster in the same team. They are all taggers/defenders and make our team SLLLOOWWW and one-dimensional.
Great Selections - finally we have a Balanced team - youth (Armitage) and more speedy and balanced team!!!
Easy win coming up! Saints by 6-7 goals! BOOKMARK IT!
