The Positives

Post: # 555642Post Cairnsman »

No injuries (that I have heard)

If we all consider that injuries at about this time of the season for the past couple of years has started to escalated.

Amongst many things, good teams, premiership teams, are generally teams that have a good run with injuries and are able to keep a nucleaus of players together over a sustained period of time.

If you consider most things at the club at present are in good shape, admin, coaching staff, medical staff, injury management, then all it now needs is for the players to click. It will happen.

If you need an example look to Geelong. They had a shocker in 2006. They tweeked a few things around the club and the rest is history.

The bottom line, hang in there and let's not eat ourselves just yet.

We didn't lose by ten goals. We'll beat Richmond next week - as long as Gehrig plays - they can't match his strength.

There was one injury... me. My will to go on snapped in the 2nd quarter and will take at least 6 weeks to recover.

What if everything is in place in a team but the majority of players just don't like or respect each other? Can a team overcome that and achieve success? They are soft and don't seem to retaliate when a player is monstered or belted. Maybe Voss was more right than we thought. No game plan can fix that.

Embarrassingly true

About the only positive I can think of is the fact that Bakes is back and he'll be better for the run. Hopefully he'll star against the Tiges.

positives?????

oh yeah i know, i didnt get p***ed on and stayed dry for the entire game.

another positive was the after match get together.
had brief chats with some older ladies who have obviously stood by us thru thick and thin and just love the club.
heard archie speak and max had a few words up on the podium too.
was very easy to get in this year, roughly a quarter of the people that have turned up in previous years

another positive was spending $42 on raffle tickets and not winning a sausage

Matrix

Would you mind telling us some more about the after-match function?
What was said?

The possatives....

We won quite a few unofficial ANZAC Medals presented to those who were listed as "missing in the feild of action"
and at least they were "over there" on a cold dark night, and didn't have to suffer the indignaty of 90 thousand odd witnessing their pathetic display on the hallowed turf the MCG Shrine

and now finally we will have a full compliment of defenders next week and stop playing one man short down back...........
surely they cant play the Goose AGAIN?????
No wonder Max spat it
