I think Goose should listen to anything Max Hudghton has to say.

A little constructive criticism never hurt anyone. Though not sure how constructive it may have been. Who here can read lips?

Just fantastic - awesome.ove it.

Maguire IMO is struggling in todays game - there aint that many gorilla full backs a "straight line defender"can play on without having another string to his bow BUT what he can do is man the f@rk up.

Hudgton plays like its his last.He bleeds for this club. Maguire would do well to listen.

Max plays with passion.
Always gives everything.

And good to see him giving others putting less than 100% a spray.

Though in fairness to Goose I don't think he could have spoilt Tredrea, but at least he could have tried.

Fantastic to see a bloke with passion

Maybe it might stir Goose up a bit.

Just on Goose, he needs to lift and start getting into the game. Maybe play him up forward.

We need the old Goose back, the bloke with passion, streaming through CHB kicking long to Roo and Kosi.

Go Goose!!!!

Tredrea I think it was took a mark off a lowish kick about 40m from goal, Hudghton was a few paces behind him and Maguire was a couple of metres to the right of Tredrea. Maguire just stood there and Hudghton went ballistic at him, Maguire saying "What? What?". As Tredrea went back to take his shot, Hudghton gave him another spray.

In fairness, Maguire probably wouldn't have been able to get to the ball, but he made absolutely no effort.

Max gave him a major spray for poor effort. He deserved it. Has been terrible since he come back, wasn't much chop last year either. Pls don't mention his injury, Goddard has managed to come back just fine.

For those who havent seen..

Tredrea marked on the lead in front of Max, who obviously thought Goose could have worked harder to provide a chop-out. Max took his mouthguard out and gave Goose the biggest on-field spray Ive ever seen. Goose must have replied cos Max turned around and gave Goose a 2nd go too.

Love Max's passion but it sends a message to the opposition that we arent exactly united too..so im a bit torn.

but he made absolutely no effort.[/quote]

That's exactly why Goose copped it... and Maxi gave it.
Maxi nearly crushed his neck flying off a pack early in the game.
The bloke puts in 110%, 110% of the time.

I liked seeing Max lose the plot like that. He wouldn't have done it if it wasn't necessary.

Exactly. Max obviously feel extremely justified so I'm happy to back Max 100% with his timing.

I don't that it showed that we're not united, our football already showed the football world that very point throughout the game. Our football definitely did the talking in that regard.

max plays instinctive footy, covers for his man etc.

others play that 'cover your man' bizzo that seems to be the team strat

your man doesn't score you've done your job.

max leaves his man to go for the ball, and make the contest, others fall back with their man in check.

i noticed a big difference in our defence when max returned last year.

man on man vs team defence.

Amen to that.

This is one area where Blake really really struggles. Hes good at covering when he doesnt have a man but once he is made accountable he, either by instruction from the coaches or through his own eagerness to keep HIS man statless, seems to forget all about playing the ball.

Having said that Blake was ok tonight. However he has run out of credits, one more bad game and Casey has earnt themselves a "gaps man"

Very symbolic of our efforts tonight of not playing as a team.
