Let’s get serious - the next 2 months

Post: # 547150Post Dal_Santos_Gal »

Here is our draw for the next 8 weeks.
With what we have seen in the past 2 weeks, what will be the key factors in beating these sides.
In the next 8 weeks we will have to play 2 sides that we have already come up against in the Dogs and the swans.

Essendon (TD)
Port Adelaide (Aami)
Richmond (TD)
Collingwood (TD)
Brisbane (Gabba)
Melbourne (TD)
Western Bulldogs (TD)
Sydney (SCG)

I don't have the key answers for winning these games, but I have put down some thoughts.

Essendon - without Lloyd and Lucas, you would think we should win this game as long as we run run run, Essendon this season have been a running side and proved against the dogs that they can keep it up minus there two big forwards for 3 qrts. Surely this game can not be taken lightly.

Port Adelaide - Had a shocking start to the year considering they were the runners up last year all be it in a shocking display. We seem play Aami stadium well against the crows but can't seem to get the 4 points against Port. Our first interstate game for the season, we will need to keep the Cornes boys in check to put this game in the bag.

Richmond - They have not beaten us in a long time and regardless what kind of footy they play we still manage to take the 4 points, History says we should do it again, we are a much better side.

Collingwood - They are playing some good footy and this will be a tough game. Need to watch players like Medhurst, who is proving this year that he can play some exciting winnable footy.

Brisbane - Our second interstate game for the season, Brown, Black and Power are proven match winners, hopefully Goose will be up to the task on Brown, Bakes will be back and can take Black and Joey/Hayes on Power.

Melbourne - Do I need to say much on this, if we don't beat them, you may as well forget season 2008.

Western Bulldogs - Scary to think how well they are playing, proved that last week was no once off. We surely wouldn't play as tall this time around and not stand around and watch them run us off the park.

Sydney - Playing them at their own game always seems to work as much as the saints supporters don't like it, its always a game we seem to win since being under Lyon.

The next 2 months are going to be very interesting to say the least, we need to win at least 6 games you would think to have a fair crack at september.
