can anyone explain to me what hille's shoulders are made of? It got to the stage where he could barely lift his arm. Even with that and some type of groin injury he was still in their top 3.
I hope they rucks are told to bash into his shoulders at every bounce. He is crucial to their team. Almost got them over the line himself.

those thighs are massive. maybe he doesn't need his shoulders working.

5 prelims in 7 years. 40 wins from 49 games.
2009 and 2010 were 2 of the 5 best years ever by the St.Kilda FC.
Thanks for all your efforts Saints.

Much as I think Hird was a great player, the prick came out of hospital and off the sidelines when he wasn't picked for the match the night the lights went out, and then played in the continuation, so you're probably right - Essendon will probbaly find a way for him to come onto the list to play us next week.johnpeterbudgefanclub wrote:Pisser and we play them Anzac Day.........gold!!
Maybe Hird will come out of retirement for one last hurrah....

Just how pathetic are we when some on here are grabbing Essendons injuries as something to be greatful in maybe winning a match...
FAIR DINKUM!
So do some (if not all) admit that we are struggling ???
Point to me, one game (yes just 3 AND the NAB) that we really played well???
So this thread is looking at Essendon's injuries, as if we are looking for some reason why they are better than us.........
They finished 12th and we finished 9th....
They have far more key injuries than us and yet manage to make a game of it and not play the defence game...
This is not a slur on our coach but more on the rubbish that has been served on this site...
The amount of posters that protect the saints without question is just amazing IMO
We gave up about 7 goals against the bulldogs last week and lost the match
Yet some on here still abuse posters that can criticize ......
IN all honesty, the way Essendon played was a far better game that what we served up and they were missing some top players...
It really puts it in respective of where we really are IMO...
Have another look at the game and just wonder why no midfielder in the past 8 or so years have been dominate in kicking goals???
We need more options and the list has to stand up...
I believe Essendon may start favourites against us ( and if so, how embarrassing is that!!!)
Two top players out plus a couple of others, and we have a near on full list prior to this week match...
WHERE IS OUR FUTURE??

When will the AFLPA make a stand and demand something is done about this unsafe work place.
It has nothing to do with the concrete...
The concrete is covered by enough soil and sand for it to be irrelevant.
What matters is the roof which blocks sunlight....which leads to less healthy grass cover which leads to a less thick layer of thatch...which means that it thins with players then not running ona thatch of grass, but running on blades of grass..so that the stops then impact the soil..rather than a thatch.
However having said that...it is early in the season and the grass squares which get replaced are still thick and healthy.....as the grass has not had time to die off much yet. However Colo is meant to have bought some lamps wich they use in Europe on soccer fields and so that may lessen or completely overcome the problem.
More relevant would be that the Dons games have been
Mon Mar 24
Sun Mar 30
Sat Apr 5
Fri Apr11
That is 4 games with only 6 days in between for recovery.
Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....

Yeah fair enough, but the post seems to mean that we are not favourites and are looking for excuses ...........aussierules0k wrote:I agree with your noble sentiments st.fid. But I must confess (this is probably something from the tough 60/70's)... I'm only into this for a Saints flag. I'd be quietly happy if Hird, Judd and all the other champs got injured... nothing life long or threatening of course. Sounds horrible I agree, just the way it is. I can't fight the inner emotions. All I want is to win... if they get hammy's - cool. you can be assured most op supporters revelled (??? spelling) in our past injuries.
Just a major p1ss off with me .............
Some poster posts about injuries, as if that is what we have to beat a side that most think we are better than.......
It's just the irony that some on here think we are the second best side and now look to the injuries to Essendon and grab that as a a major win ....
Really if we play Essendon on a full list we would struggle to beat them IMO...
WAKE THE FARKEN UP!!!
This thread is the reason why ....
"ESSENDON INJURIES"
Yeah, and we still have trouble, despite having a far better list than Essendsuum (as far as most on here believe)....
Flowering p1ss week IMO
We are really no better than the Western Bulldogs or Essendon and that is as sad fact.....

Settle down mate
It was a simple post concerning Essendon picking up a few injuries and considering we have them next week I thought the information would be of interest to other St.Kilda supporters.
It had nothing to do with us being favourites or not being favourites or whether we are looking for excuses - far from it
Unbelievable

it wasn't that long ago st kilda was the walking wounded
i do hope we win, and I do hope we take advantage of it, but by and large it wasn't essendon fans gloating about st kilda's injuries during our 'down time' from memory
i points at north, melbourne, collingwood, carlton, geelong and sydney fans who seemed to get off every time st kilda suffered an injury from the BF unwashed :

SHUT UP KRIME!

Bad luck to Essendon.
Injuries are part of football and we need to take advantage of their misfortune next week.
If things go the way they might today we will be 2-2 and will really need to beat the Dons as we then have Port over there.
If we beat the Cats and can get over the dons we will be 4-1 and a great launching pad for the rest of the season.
But next week is next week. God forbid, we may get injuries today (touch wood we dont).

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Yes Joffa...
Bad luck to essendon...
But IMO they played a far better game against the Bulldogs then we did considering they we short of a couple of very good players (match winners)
We really need to lift because we have been playing crap even though we have managed to have two wins
