We will beat Geelong. We are not favourties by a long shot, I think 2.90, so we will therefore win.

Any StKilda supporter knows that we play s*** when we are favourites.

i dont care if we win or lose, I just don't want to see a capitulation like last friday.

outscored by 80 points in 3 quarters :(

melbourne showed more respect to their jumper and thats saying something.

On paper, you're right.

But if you witnessed what the rest of us witnessed on Friday night with unbiased eyes, you'd realise that something wasn't right.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Personally I am hoping that we beat them this week..rather than next.

On a more serirous vein...the Cats are currently rightly the flag favourites.....so if SS goes into melt down just because we lose It would be a bit silly.

I will be watching to see how we play and want a competitive 4 quarter effort...a win would be a real bonus.

The Dons game is a more critical game in terms of one that we really need to win to keep our season on track. Lose that game and then our season will be in trouble.

Its not the fact of the loss but the manner of the loss.

Pre season we scraped in tight games ......but played OK.

last week ........... shown up by a very quick side .

I am certain we will lift this week ..but doubt it will be enough to get over the cats. In all honesty were always likely to loose against Cats.

But early days .. and no injuries !!!!!!

We have depth enough to drop a few this week , but nothing drastic

I still think that most of what we saw on Friday night was "between the ears"...

I doubt that will be seen again.

If ever they were gonna get a rocket, its watching a replay of that $hit.

We will be very competitive on the weekend.

Too right, they were way more intense and switched on than us and they blew us away... but lordy how some people carry on!

I don't see us beating Geelong. They are so far ahead of us right now it's not funny.

Between the ears is something I reckon was the key factor for the capitulation last Friday. Goddard made a good comment on AFL.com.au saying "the boys were left watching the footy". Good point, no movement.

On the rehab, play one querter of Friday followed by the NAB cup win in 2004 and the follow-up battering of Geelong in round 1.

Need to find the heart, strenght and appeal of winning big games again.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

This is the Afl and all the players and teams are professionals and we have stars and they have stars.

The only thing that is different is our mentality and gameplan compared to theirs - ours is so bad compared to the pounce and make them pay style of their play that it makes us look feeble in comparison.
