...he looks mighty unhappy! How can you blame him (if he is feeling that way) after last nights insipid performance by our boys!!
Damn HAWKS!! I was hoping the Kangas were going to rub the smug look off their faces!

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Sorry, ROOvolting Shoot me!
Anyway, I'm over the loss. I'm all for NOT peaking too early, NOT copping injuries and NOT being a predictable side! Early days. I still wished the Hawks blew it today Cocky SOB's!!

I just watched him for 5 mins in the last qrt when the game was dead, his attitude stunk throwing arms around and having a little hissy fit alla Richo. He is the captain of the football club, its all well and good he is passionate, but show it in the right ways!!! Put yourself in the game like a Pavlich would and through yourself in the middle for 10 mins to try something, instead of blaming others around him.St. Luke wrote:...he looks mighty unhappy! He is the face of our club, and im sure if anyone else saw it theyd agree it didnt look good. I can fully understand his attitude the following day however.

Boyle only had 4 disposals, No goals, no tackles, no marks.Trunch wrote:Roo watching the Hawks play......
How do they play with three talls in the forward line Franklin, Boyle and Roughead ?
What are we doing wrong?
Franklin kicked 5 goals 4 behinds, which is more then most of our forwards have kicked for the entire year.
Their midfield was good, Bateman, Sewell, Lewis, Mitchell.
And their disposal was much better then ours is.
I feel like most, that we lost it in the middle. I am not saying personally that I think the Hawks forward set up with three talls wins them the game. I understand that the Hawks mid field got there hands on the ball.
I like that our captain is out watching other teams. Not just the teams we play the following week but teams that the Saints should consider themselves equal to.
Just posing the question what would Roo be thinking while looking at these teams go about there footy?

You raise a good question there...Trunch wrote:I feel like most, that we lost it in the middle. I am not saying personally that I think the Hawks forward set up with three talls wins them the game. I understand that the Hawks mid field got there hands on the ball.

I went to Carlton Essendon last night for some comic relief to watch carlton. One thing i noticed is that despite the fact carlton have forgotten how to win...; when there were 4 goals down 15 mins into last qrt, the stk that we know would have lost that game by 6-8 goals.
However credit to the rabble in that they kept trying their hearts out. Its defiently hurting their players out there when they keep losing. From a supporter perspective i think the blues fans wouldnt have been too disspointed despite the loss coz they all showed that it meant a lot to them to the fans.
Thats something different i noticed as a supporter watching a nuetral game as opposed to what we see in our losses and the things that go on, on the field. Nothing can replace the passion of playing for the jumper, and thats exactly what carlton did.

I saw him late into the last quarter and he was in the middle of the ground from a tap out and got the ball and pretty sure he tunred it over. Went straight back to being held by morris after that.
