MVP- no charges from saints game BUT

Post: # 540107Post saintbrat »

There was also a review of contact between Collingwood's Ben Johnson and Brisbane's Simon Black but Johnson's bump was given the all-clear while the panel also looked at an incident involving St Kilda's Justin Koschitzke and Carlton's Bret Thornton from before the start of Saturday night's game at Telstra Dome but neither player was considered to have committed a reportable offence.

Yeah it was soft, Thornton was pulling on Kosi's jumper and then Kosi swung his arm around and gave him a soft punch to the tummy, Thornton replied with two equally as soft punches to the side...

Absolutely nothing in it from either side.

However if it was Baker V Campbell Brown the two would probably be 'fixed'...

Goodes has played 193 consecutive matches for the Swans and is just one game short of equaling the club's all-time record set by teammate Jared Crouch from 1998-2006.

And he is just 51 games short of former Melbourne ruckman Jim Stynes' all-time record of 244 successive matches from 1987-98 having not missed a game since round 21, 1999 - his debut season.

As if....

We all saw what happened last time Goodes went to the tribunal.

His case will go something like....

Goodes: "I just punched the air and the Port player jumped into that air. How is it possibly my fault??"

Tribunal: "Sorry to interrupt, but do you play for a Victorian Club Adam??"

Goodes: "No, your Hon....."

(Can't even finish his sentence before the hammer is dropped)

Tribunal: Not guilty.

Hmm, wouldn't see our dual Brownlow medalist with carry over points.

He got 100 against Freo last year which I think was in round 19 which would make him up to 105 now... give or take a couple...

"Video evidence played to the tribunal was inconclusive as to whether Goodes made contact to Thomas with his arm"

http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=439480

What the hell was it in Baker's case????????????????

I want a re-opening of the Baker case because clearly there is an inconsistency between NO VIDEO evidence, and inconclusive video evidence!!!

This is a total SHAM!!!!!

Last week the video evidence of Howat hitting Hartlet was less conclusive than Goodes 'hit' on Thomas. Howat got 3?

Unfortunately for Baker he admitted he made contact with Farmer, this meant the lack of video evidence didn't matter.

I don't believe that Baker should have been suspended but the two cases are not comparable.
