we kicked 19 goals last night and sydney are currently 17 goals to three quarter time (port getting done by 71 points).....

goes to show the old saying "a week is a long time in football"......

I personally like the fact that we can shut down good teams and yet can also play attacking football when we get the chance. Means we stay in games when we are against it.

Its more the fact we had 50 odd critical errors that means we play ugly then the actual game plan.

In addition the media darlings in essendon are getting done by 50 points at half time.

I am enjoying our 2-0 start when we have barely played at half pace. Rome wasn't built in a day.

We had 21 scoring shots last week, and Sydney had 19.

Poor kicking means the ball returns less frequently to the centre of the ground, meaning more time for teams to get numbers back ... and hence less scoring shots.

Despite that, there were still 40 scoring shots in the match which IMO was pretty amazing.

Accurate kicking last week would have seen about 17-18 goals kicked by both sides IMO.
