Mark Robinson had him squeezed out of best 22 in his pre season review of st.kilda, and I know injuries have been a worry in recent years but he has made a brilliant start to the year.

smashed Hall last week and then destroyed Fevola.

Great effort from a bloke still so vital to St.Kilda.

Our most reliable defender as he has been for 6 or 7 years. Even when goose and BJ return.

Yep

If we can keep Max on the park and get BJ back then our backline will start to look good again.

...and if Goose can get back to his previous form by the end of the season then, WATCH OUT

As Sam Fisher has said, a settled backline is just so important - Sam has been doing a great job too but with the additional experience of BJ and Goose it will look that much stronger....
