Rioli did some good things on the weekend - that blind turn he did to get out of traffic was sublime. He's going to have to get more of the footy to get a nomination though. Houli's nomination shows that the selectors are more interested in touches than anything else. His ball use was pretty average and he didn't do a lot else. Hill was sensational. Adelaide had to move McLeod on him to shut him down.

He was fantastic to watch on Monday, very exciting player. From what little I saw of the round, a real stand out in terms of enjoying fast, fair, tough (IMO!), skillful footy from a young player.

He was great but there could have been quite a few deserving winners...
I don't think there would have been any non bias complaints if any of Rioli, Houli, Brown, Geary or Hill got a nom...

Hopefully Geary recognises a challenge and steps up, we haven't won the rising star in a few years now...
