Bailey was sensational in his first game as coach.

His pre-match, qtr time, half time and 3/4 time speeches were especially inspirational.

His gameday tactics were also very insightful.
The Demons seemed to respond pretty well to him.

Seriously, you have to give it to Knights after teh Dons performance today.

No coach in the hot seat did a bad job this week.

Craig, Malthouse & Matthews "on the edge"?

Craig & Matthews are about to get new contracts and are as safe as houses.

Mick aint going anywhere after last year (& extension).

Lyon is in the hot seat.

If we don't make the 8 this year he'll be gone (or should be).

I don't think that will happen but it's a nonsense to suggest he's safer than the other 3.

Knights the standout of the newbies. Although I had Roos and Bombers in the bottom 8 this year.

I thought Mark Harvey did reasonably well - they could have been smashed by the Pies but ended it sort of respectably.

I still think Wallace will be the first to go this year.

Bailey has it all ahead of him - he needs to approach a massive five year plan. Melbourne could have a few very miserable seasons in front of them.

Clarkson building nicely but it was only Melbourne. But Clarkson seems to have known what he's been building a team for, for a couple of years now.

Knights was definately the standout of the new coaches. He's been able to take his group and getting them playing as he wants them to and one can clearly see the imprint he has on them. Of those on edge Eade and Wallace are the only ones who are probably at any considerable risk and they both won. But I still reckon Wallace is looking very shaky for next year because I can't see them carying on from Thursday and before that they have been pretty poor.

I expect knights not to last too long, saw him coach a top 3 SANFL side down to almost finishing bottom. He may do better at the Bombers but a few of their supporters i have spoken to over here still can't see him as a good coach.

The Demons have to do what the Tigers should have done

Get rid of an aging star to get some young kids through

Russell Robertson, Brad Green and Aaron Davey should be trade bait by years end

Just like Tigers were going to trade Richoooo, while he had some trade value left they should have traded him as their set up hadnt worked for the last 5 years

Knights was the only new coach who won so was obviously the stand out. I think he will be a tough un comprimising and professional coach who will be successful. I have the bombers as a chance to make the 8 this year.

Terry Wallace and Ross Lyon are the most vunerable of all the coaches I think.

Ross because if we dont play finals this year I cant see the board sticking with him not because I think he is a bad coach just the expectation is very high.

Terry Wallace could have easily been looking at a 30 point loss to Carlton on thursday night, I didnt notice many moves which directly influenced the game, it was more a few players standing up and running the ball and Richo kicking straight which caused the turn around. IMO they could come un stuck very quickly.

Maybe this year?
