Only one game at the MCG?

Post: # 532575Post Beekay »

Did I read the fixture right? We only have one single game at the home of football?

That's average.

Oh well. Good run of Dome games.

Would like to play more often at MCG, but I guess teams ask to play us away at the Dome, so what can you do?

The 1 and only away game last year Vs Melbourne (in R1, I'm still slightly annoyed about that) wouldn't help, we have to rotate with them.

How come the Round 15 game has been switched from the Dome to the MCG, my earlier fixture has it at the TD but my latest one from the NAB Cup footy record has us playing at the G?

Saints v's Pies @ 'G' ' HOME GAME'

Post: # 532891Post Megamaguire »

I posted my feelings a week or so ago reg:the need for Saint Kilda to get a locked in game against the pies EVERY Year as a HOME game at the 'G'. This could make a very significant financial investment (by the afl) in Saint Kilda's future. The bombers and pies already have a 'blockbuster' which doubles as a windfall.

I believe Saint Kilda should be constantly pushing demetriou for this one fixture event. I don't care if it is refered to as a 'blockbuster' or not.

When you consider that we do indeed play the pies this year it hurts that they will be collecting all the money they simply don't need.

Beating both pies n' blues would turn things around for me however.

Good luck in '08 fellow Sainters

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.

It would be worth the price of my membership to see all StKilda supporters filling the Dome, and getting their tickets early - and seeing them whinging pies cry cos they couldn't get a seat!

Right at the business end of the season too! Gives us a couple of runs pre-finals.
