Winning 4 close ones in a row - precedent?

Thought I might edit the title - that's 4 on the trot by less than a goal.

Anyone care to share their opinions on how this reflects on the team?

Winning 3 close ones in a row is terrific even in the context of it being the NAB cup. When's the last time we've done something like this?

Could be luck but it feels like the team has developed good composure under this game scenario. They all mapped out different ways but it's still a nice way to go into the season proper.

In one way a negative because I beleive most of those rely on luck but it was only a practice match.

Last year...we often could not run out games.

Our fitness has obviously clearly improved...and in particular today as it would have been very sapping in the heat.

Not always. Im pretty sure one year when the Lions won they lost nearly all their close ones. In the end it usally about luck especially against the better sides but against poorer sides it has more to do with experience.

In the long one good teams win the close one

I don't believe in luck, ask geelong what they think of luck. Were they lucky last year, no! The better team won the close one in the prelim.

If we had lost 4 games by < 6pts I've no doubt we'd be calling for heads to roll.

Gameplan, execution and shots on goal notwithstanding - it's an interesting stat.

I was jumping on here to begin a thread about the 4 close games in a row. Shows a lot of promise IMO, as winning the close games in a season that helps getting into a a top 4 spot at sesaons end.
