The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

The basic foxtel sports package is around $50 a month. That is well worth it just to watch the footy. And as for wishing someone to die, that's just plain nasty.Enrico_Misso wrote:Terrific

Are you serious. It is very good. When has 22 games ever been on free to air live. Never. Go to a pub or get Foxtel and dont blame the AFL for everything. One more thing get a clue.Enrico_Misso wrote:Terrific

when the AFL first wen interstate they promised that games interstate would be on free to air (live OR delayed).
Hell I would be happy if all the melbourne games were on fox, but for those not able to GET to the game because it's in another state should be able to see it on free to air, especially if it's against a game played in melbourne.
I think you need to get a clue, the AFL sold the public a turkey and we have every right to get pissed over this.

I dont know how old you are but that is just crap. The AFL never promised that every interstate gane would be live on free to air and that has never been the case. Matter of fact channel 7 were the only ones to cover footy back in the early days and i would doubt half the interstate games were covered live on channel 7. Maybe even less than 30% but if you can prove me wrong please do.Solar wrote:thats not the point enrico misso is makingplugger66 wrote:Are you serious. It is very good. just a tip, a way not to win an arguement is asking someone their age! I never ONCE said that they promised to show it LIVE. But there was a promise that teams would be shown free to air (be that 11 pm that night) when played interstate. Hell we put up with half our interstate games being stuck on fox but all 6, it's a disgrace.plugger66 wrote:I dont know how old you are but that is just crap. Thanks for tip. Obviously means you are young and dont know or are to old and have alziemers. I dont know about live or delayed but it is still crap what you are saying. That never happened otherwise channel 7 would have had to show at least 7 games a week live or delayed. They showed 4.Solar wrote:just a tip, a way not to win an arguement is asking someone their age! I never ONCE said that they promised to show it LIVE. channel 7 never promised it, the AFL did. So don't start on it. What I am saying is that they went back on it straight away and have made it worse and worse as the years have gone by. Even when 9, 10 and fox had it a few years ago they showed the sunday interstate game on free to air and sometimes would show the other interstate game late at night (11pm?). The afl has let this go to the wayside for $$$.plugger66 wrote:Thanks for tip. Obviously means you are young and dont know or are to old and have alziemers. Maybe I misread your post but you said when the AFL first went interstate, well maybe I am missing something but that was 1991 or so now you are saying 3 years. if you are going to aregue please do not change it half way through just to bag the AFL. By the way the AFL never said that and I know because with the coverage back then it would have been impossible to have every game live or delayed.Solar wrote:channel 7 never promised it, the AFL did. ok when the eagles came into the comp the VFL clubs were up in arms so the AFL came out and said that "don't worry most games will be shown on TV". But my arguement is that they have slowly moved the interstate games for victorian teams off the free to air and onto foxtel.plugger66 wrote:Maybe I misread your post but you said when the AFL first went interstate, well maybe I am missing something but that was 1991 or so now you are saying 3 years. if you are going to aregue please do not change it half way through just to bag the AFL. Of course they have because they didnt exist back then and now they are paying 50 million a year but your right who cares about that money lets just show it on free to air even if channel 7 and 10 dont want to.Solar wrote:ok when the eagles came into the comp the VFL clubs were up in arms so the AFL came out and said that "don't worry most games will be shown on TV". Its simple...the TV Networks have coughed up $780 Million reasons why they can do as they damn well please. The AFL can huff and puff all they like...but the botton line is that that cash gives the Networks pretty much free reign to do as they please scheduling-wise
