King is a big unit.

Although his dad, Joe, is not that big. His uncle, Wayne, though was a bush champion.

Better than been know as Wayne-King though  ....even if he was a bush champion :)

Though I guess if his dad was Joe-King and his Uncle was Wayne-King ...at least they are a happy bunch.

Uncle Wayne runs his own business in the bush now.

He's an owner/operator.

The Cats basically spent all of 2007 getting King's body and fitness right, taking it slow with him and letting his fitness and conditioning levels improve.....

thE cats gained the benefit of this in their GF win and now the Saints will be the beneficiries of this in 2008.

He is reportedly the fittest he has been for years.

Yep, I don't think he was able to pound the pavement too much at the Cats over the last few years - but has been doing a lot of it with us, thus why he's dropped some fat & is ripping up.

But that is our point....that the Cats took it slow with him last year to get him over his injuries.

Prior to that they kept rushing him back and he kept re-injuring himself.

If this sounds familar....think of X...or Raph....

He has been with our squad for nearly four months now - Trade timing suited us down to the ground this year - pic pre Christmas. He looks quite settled.

I reckon the reason King agreed to join the Saints was because we wear vertical stipes as apposed to horizontal stripes.

THE NEW LOOK APPEARS MUCH MORE SLIMMING. :D
