Rd 14 v Kangas - Gold Coast

Post: # 510711Post Sainter_4_life »

Ok, so ive just booked flights for me and a few mates to head up to the gold coast for this game in june.

Does anyone know about getting tickets for carrara games ? Qld sainters ? How many people does carrara hold and is it likely to sell out or can you buy tickets at the gate ? Im assuming my melbourne-based membership doesnt hold any significance ?

Thanks for any help !

yeah, my plane is for me to save up with 4 or 5 mates, get a cheap return flight up there and back staying 3 or 4 nights, stay at some place near town, going to the game etc....but i cant see that happening any more thanks to Cory! mum and dad cant trust me now!

im not booking my flights for that game until the season starts, because i heard there is a chance the game can be cancelled and moved to the dome, then there is a waste of money!!!

and your best bet is to try and get a ticket from the vic cheer squad. unless you want to sit on the wing or something.

however it wont be close to being packed out due to the kanga's not wanting to be there ...

Carrara is not a big ground so is easily filled. My guess is there will be alot of tickets given away to get numbers up. I would expect there to be a full house. There is alot of St Kilda supporters who are very happy to see another game up here apart from the Lions. So there will be alot of Sainters there. Tickets don't go on sale for a while yet. I wouldn't advise buying them at the gate. You might get one, but its a big risk. Your right your Melb membership is only for Melb games.

Saints suppporters club up here will be holding a function, but more on that closer to the time.

Flying with Tiger. They were by far the cheapest ($79.95 each way)

Everyone be aware that flights for this period will only go up, and there wont be any sale fares released, as the 28th june is the first day of victorian school holidays

be aware that flying tiger you may experience delays or changes to flights-
not just from media hype-
family have flown tiger recently on four occassions
1 delay by 24 hours- flew the next day
1 X 1 hour delay
2 X changes to time of flight 3 weeks in advance
2 X 3 hour delays in flights- returning mid morning- IE 2 am !!!! great when your working in the city the next day and have a two hour drive home.

so advice-- don't plan your flight to be where your going with no time to spare----- GIve your self time for delays.
and any wish to speak to someone is a phone call to Singapore.

Just purchased my airline ticket for Gold Coast clash...

Is there a spot that supporters stay or is it simply lastminute.com or similar a month before?

Also is there a watering hole people meet up in?
