The lighting for Casey Fields is being upgraded by the Casey Council, with installation works yesterday and today.
The lighting is going from 50 lux to 240 lux, and will provide for night VFL matches.
Instead of 4 lights on each light tower there will be 15 on each.
Two night matches are scheduled early in the season:
Round 2 Casey Scorpions v Frankston at 7:00pm on Saturday 5 April (after St Kilda plays the Bulldogs the previous night at TD).
Round 3 Casey Scorpions v Box Hill at 7:00pm on Saturday 12 April (after St Kilda has played Geelong earlier in the afternoon at TD).

hey casey scorp, are there any social club facilities down there for a dinner or drink. I will come down for at least one if not both and would rather something more then the BBQ (which is awesome for day games).
Should be great, get lots of people out supporting the scorps!

There is a function room upstairs, and you can book into the President's Dinner for before each match. The membership info on the website is at:
http://www.scorpions.com.au/membership.html
says members are charged $20 for the meal. Drinks are part of the meal until about game time, after which you can stay upstairs and buy drinks at the normal rate.
I think the charge for non-members is $25 or $30.
I'd advise to book early because I think there will be a fair bit of interest in the night matches.
