Does anyone here play local leagues?

Post: # 486770Post ben_fff »

I want to start playing again next season, I havn't played since under 16's but I'm still a reasonable kick and have the height to be useful.

I'm out in Ivanhoe, any suggestions for what leagues I should look at playing in?

I know for a fact that there's an old club within the CBD that are looking for some height.

They used to be pretty good apparently, but they've struggled for a while. You should be able to get a game, I'll grab the details...

Howabout Diamond Valley League?? You could play for either Heidelberg, West Heidelberg, North Heidelberg, Macleod or Lower Plenty, or even Alphington.

Yeah as Yipper said come and play at my old club, North Heidelberg in the Northern Football League. Problem is they wear the same jumper as the Western Bulldogs so if u want to wear a Saints jumper then Watsonia it is and that is 2nd division.

So was that 10 or 20 years ago?

My old team Macleod-Rosanna (now just Macleod) played in north melb colours!! My older brother played for Watsonia - proudly wore the saints colours with no.4 on his back if you don't mind!!
