What St Kilda need to do is focus on youth in the draft rather than pick up delisted players. Even witha low pick. Get a kid, not a hasbeen with problems. Geelong did it and look what it got them. Midfield is a must with focus on pace and another tall forward. Watts should still be here. Sampi, forget it. We got Schneider instead. Let's foucs on youuth and rebuild again to get us a flag. Enough said.

off the top of my head, Geelong has otten's moody harley from other clubs. No clun is successfull "just going youth" or "recyling players" a fair bit. But it is getting the mix right that is the tricky part.

Except he played for Pt Adelaide in the AFL as well as the Cats.

no he isn't! played 1 game for port adelaide in i think it was 1998

Geelong had 1 player from another club ... so we should all have 21 players in our side who we drafted ourselves.

BUT WAIT!

Sydney had 6 players from other clubs ... so we should all have 16 players in our side who we drafted ourselves.

Essendon in 2000 had 3 players from other clubs ... so we should all have 19 players in our side who we drafted ourselves.

I'm confused

Which club should we follow?

Between Armitage, Allen, Howard, Geary, Gilbert, R. Clarke, Gwilt, Attard + 3 draftees this year, I reckon we've got a reasonable bunch of youngsters we are developing.

Just give 'em a bit of time. We've turned over 22% of our list this year.
