does this mean NO EGM
and no need to vote?

and does the AGM then become the place to confirm the new board for the coming year?

just of interest - not sure when posted;

http://www.stkildafootyfirst.com/index.html

Thank you Members - your voice has been heard

Footy First would like to commend Rod Butterss and his group for listening to the
St Kilda faithful and deciding to stand down from the Board and make way for a new, fresh and exciting regime at the St Kilda Football Club.

On behalf of the St Kilda Footy First group, I would like to thank each and
every member who supported our challenge by posting in a proxy form.

Together, we can all make a significant change at our beloved St Kilda Football Club and I look forward to continuing engagement with members and
supporters now that we are the incumbent Board.

As the hand-over has been smooth, there is now no need for an EGM at all. The next official engagement where all members will be invited to have their say will be at the AGM in February. I hope to see you there.

From now on, all communication must go through the official St Kilda Football Club channels. I encourage you to log on regularly to saints.com.au for official club news.

Enjoy the summer and I hope you are as excited about season 2008 as we are.

Go Saints!

Greg Westaway
President-elect

Good point, I really like the idea of WoM becoming the official site, I'm sure Peanut loves it aswell as soon as he recieves the paycheck. I would much rather we recieved news from their and then we could have our sponsors, not the AFL's plastered everywhere.

Unfortunately WOM will never become the official site.

How else can the club keep you updated?

I don't understand why it can't become the official site, I just like the idea of the official St.Kilda website being run by saints fans for saints fans so that we get updates daily rather than every few days...

settle down Roger  Don't get ya knickers in a knot ... GW is in Brisbane right now talking to supporters - I had a phone call from someone that is going to the meeting and he asked me if there is anything I want to ask him - Yeah of course I said ... tell him to put roger out of his misery ... and win us a flag.

WoM could never be an official site for lots of reasons - the main one being that vertually all of the content is plagiarised - everything that goes onto an official site is subject to scutiny of brand, laws and wot not. Neverthess I intend to meet up with GW and NB regarding improved communication with supporters - and I have some support from a handful of supporters to back me up.
