BREAKING NEWS

GEELONG defender, David Johnson has been arrested for public drunkeness.

The incident occurred around 4am this morning.

Johnson had earlier been ejected from a Geelong nightclub at 2am this morning, but returned after being escorted to his home by police.

The VFL Premiership defender later came under police attention once again after it was alleged that he was involved in an assault against two men and a woman.

A police spokesperson confirmed that capsicum spray was used to subdue Johnson.

Johnson is currenty assisting local police with their enquiries.
