Not watching the GF once you are out..
Noted with interest over the weekend two pretty high-profile players saying they would not watch the Grand Final this Saturday now they are not part of it.
Campbell Brown is going to Byron Bay and might see some of it. A Pies player whos name escapes me is also on record as saying he has no interest now the Pies are out and wont watch it
in 2004 and 2005 GT was pilloried here for not getting the whole list together and making them hurt by sitting through the game. GT himself made headlines by admitting he walked on a beach with his kids iPod listening to music while the game was on.
Seems its not a widespread practice?

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

I have never missed a GF since 1994 (when I was 5 lol). That will continue on Saturday.
Totally agree. For example, last years GF was absolutely awesome, I nearly got as nervous watching it as I would at a Saints game when it is in the balance.i watch the granny! its stupid not to! all i think is that if your team didnt make it, GET OVER IT AND WATCH SOME QUALITY FOOTY! its awesome!

I think many of us are guilty of saying "I'm not watching it now that st kilda's out"
It was prticularly difficult in 04 and 05 when we missed out so close to the finish.
However, personally, watching the grand final is basically an obligation.
So far, I've enjoyed watching teh grand final and yeah it does hurt to realise that we aren't in, especially when you see the winning team on the podium, crying with joy the noise of their supporters behind them.
But to me, it just makes me want it all the more.
