technical assistance request

Post: # 462027Post saintbrat »

I would like to save some of the interviews which have been on radio recently to my computer
without having to just save the web page - which I am guessing will disappear over time

can anyone assist me in finding a way to save audio bites as found on this page
http://www.mytalk.com.au/NewDesign/Page ... und22.aspx

like this interview
http://www.mytalk.com.au/aspx/pages/med ... dio&w=2650

thanks in advance

You need a windows media recorder.

I use WMR Pro (http://www.wmrecorderpro.com/) but there's probably freeware options available.

Actually, I forgot, the Windows media encoder will probably do the job.

To be honest I rarely use it. Bought and installed it a few months ago for a project we were working on so I'm not an expert.

The Windows media encoder will probably do what you want and it's free.

I think (if I remember correctly) the main difference is the supported formats. For what you're after I'd try the Microsoft one. Most of their software is pretty straight forward to install & run.
