It’s great we have that relationship with the Storm …….so could they teach our guys how to tackle more effectively as they have done in the past

💯
I know we had more tackles than the Swans, but I thought the key reason that they were able to get through and kick goals late in the second quarter was the amount of broken tackles. Wilson was a key offender which is understandable for a first player not having that strength. The tackle by Marshall to collar Warner as he was bursting out of a pack was absolutely sensational. I feel like if we can tidy this part of our game up which isn’t easy to do, then the pressure on opponents rises exponentially. Will improve our game out of sight.

I don’t think it’s that sort of relationship

They are not coaching

It’s more about professionalism and standards

And how to be a successful organisation

Yes, but wouldn't be nice if they could show a few of our forwards how to step like Papenhuyzsen. He makes even Warner look straight line.

Can you teach that?

Lenny Hayes had an awesome side step, and he’s a dev coach at Moorabbin- I can safely say, no player will be able to emulate it - it’s instinctive and raw ability

Can’t get a commodore to drive like a Ferrari

Otherwise
Lockett to teach goal kicking
Loewe to teach Marking
Dal and BJ to teach kicking
Reiwoldt to teach leading
Dempster to teach defending
Milne to teach crumbing

Doesn’t work like that

Rarely does a player with a pure talent - know how to teach it or even know how they are so good at it

Great idea. I was thinking the same. The swines first two goals were as the result of broken tackles.

The Storm are the NRLs version of GWS and GCS, they have been afforded considerable generational talent handed to them on a platter.

Makes life somewhat easier when talking about setting standards and professionalism.

Yeah right GWS AND GC are on top of the ladder ,it's no use having this talent without structure and professionalism.Storm have lost plenty of players to other clubs who don't have the same impact they had with storm . Considering the players they develop and bring in are killing it and that is what makes a great club structure and professionalism PLEASE THINK
