The spotlight
I have consumed a lot of footy media this year. More than ever, I'd say.
The positive spotlight was fun for a week or two, but I'm over it and I think it played a part in getting ahead of ourselves.
The media attention in the week either side of the Collingwood game was as positive about us as it has been us.
We had fluff piece articles written about players who would never have been in that situation before.
I think it's time to switch off for a few weeks and just enjoy the footy.

Re: The spotlight
The preseason injury list and the way we finished last year had expectations low.
Now at 5-2 it has been recalibrated, honeymoon over.
We need to roll up the sleeves and the returning players have a standard to reach now.

No, no, the players need to get used to this sort of thing - No bubble, no lid. Let's actually start being a successful club.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

These guys are at supermarkets, cafes, out in public.
Running schooĺ clinics, visiting hospitals, doing pubĺic duties for the club (not all will be, but some will)
They're not monks with a vow of silence
A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.
