Those Sacred #1 and #2 Guernseys

I’m not into the idea of retiring numbers for Aussie Rules Footy, that is an American tradition.

I do, however, think that players should have to earn the opportunity to wear a number that is cherished by their club and its loyal supporters.

I hereby propose the idea, that if Callum Wilkie has an other big year, we offer him the choice of wearing our much cherished #1 or #2 guernsey.

Phillipou asked for 2 and got 25. I'm confident he will be after 2still and has more than likely been asked to earn it.
He has round 1 selection in his first year, even if only by default, he has from all accounts, earned it, and I'll back him in to be the next player to wear 2.
