Makes getting home from a 4.40 game at Marvel seem quite civilised.

Re: Round 6 - Festival of Football in Adelaide
Well the main thing that interested me in that release was:
"The fixture for the first 15 rounds, and then rounds, match ups and venues for the remaining home and away matches will be released later this week."
So hopefully that mean by this Sunday.

Re: Round 6 - Festival of Football in Adelaide
As we dont know who the "home" team is in this fixture , it could be very possible that we have just lost our highest drawing home game for the season

Of course - and have an extra double up against a team in a higher bracket. The reaming never ends.

Re: Round 6 - Festival of Football in Adelaide
A home game at marval vs Collingwood is 100000s of dollars for the club though ticket sales , sponsorship etc game 3 in a triple header is pointless crap

Every Club is getting hundreds of thousands as a one off for this "show", on top of a similar amount for the playing group.Sebastian Tombs wrote: ↑Fri 09 Dec 2022 4:14pmA home game at marval vs Collingwood is 100000s of dollars for the club though ticket sales , sponsorship etc game 3 in a triple header is pointless crap

Re: Round 6 - Festival of Football in Adelaide
Ahhhh we play Collingwood home and away(hopefully) every season , having this game in Adelaide means we are now 50/50 if we host them in the "return" game and if we dont it will cost the club lots of money pretty simplechook23 wrote: ↑Fri 09 Dec 2022 4:20pm??????Sebastian Tombs wrote: ↑Fri 09 Dec 2022 4:14pmA home game at marval vs Collingwood is 100000s of dollars for the club though ticket sales , sponsorship etc game 3 in a triple header is pointless crap

Now as for the rd 3 game having some huge crowd, whats that based on? StKilda "supporters" just dont go to games at MCG for what ever reason I dont know but we have had poor turn out by our own for decade's

Re: Round 6 - Festival of Football in Adelaide
For those that hate the concept spare a thought for those of us living in SA (due to adoption) that were born in Vic. I spend nearly $1k if I want to see the mighty saints against anyone but the moronic Crows and Power. You guys can go whenever you feel like it. Finally I'm looking forward to taking my kids to the footy. I plan on going to a few games without an SA side in it. I'm as passionate as any of you, just give me one weekend to look forward to. The Blues got the Crows...that would suck big time !

Re: Round 6 - Festival of Football in Adelaide
Thanks desertsaint and there'd be others like us in WA, we do the hard yards because we're not surrounded by Sainters. I'll tell you one thing, if we win the big one a lot of SA people will text me and congratulate me because we are their second team over here. Thanks everyone in Vic for the training updates, we really appreciate it. I'm a saints tragic but I wouldn't be anything else.

Re: Round 6 - Festival of Football in Adelaide
Yep, agreed. I think it will be a positive for the SA supporters if we play there three times next season.mickey wrote: ↑Fri 09 Dec 2022 7:42pm For those that hate the concept spare a thought for those of us living in SA (due to adoption) that were born in Vic. We would be 50/50 against Collingwood over there (better odds than over here), favorites against the Crows, and rank outisders against Port there (or anywhere really).
I remember watching the support we got when we won there twice in a week in 2020 on TV while we were in lockdown over here, and I thought how great and rabid the St Kilda support is over there. Enjoy the game against the 'Woods and I hope we win it for you guys!
